International
Club of Berne |
|
Programme July-August 2009 |
The International Club of Berne was founded in 1991.
It is a non-political organization open to all men, women and their families
interested in meeting for social, sporting and cultural activities. Its aim is
to facilitate a better understanding of, and integration into, Switzerland, through
a variety of services and activities for our members and through joint
exploration of this country and its people.
We welcome people from all over the world. Our common
language is English, but our members speak many different languages. The club currently has nearly 200 members
(and their families) from more than 30 countries and every continent. New members and newcomers to Berne are
assured the warmest of welcomes.
If you wish to receive an information pack with an
application form, contact Werner Dettwiler, , 033 438 35 45 or wd at bluewin.ch. Yearly membership
dues are CHF 45 for family membership and CHF 35 for a single.
President’s Greetings
We wish you a pleasant summer full of warmth of
temperature and emotion, but everything in moderation!
Members are welcome to join in general activities like
language conversation, tennis, and dancing by contacting the activity leaders.
We have a new activity – meet to swim at Marzili! See
page 2.
