Strolling by the Aare

We walk and gaze at rushing waters green
and think of lives gone by and where we've been.
The song of birds finds echo in the heart,
the scents of blooming flowers fills the air,
There builds a calm and gentle peace of love
more restful to the mind than deepest sleep.
We thank the lord for thousand blessings past
and we will find a way to make them last.
